The Seattle-to-Alaska cruise industry pollutes our waters, endangers our health, and jeopardizes our climate, while exploiting workers, all in the name of low cost, carefree vacations. Do we really want this kind of tourism?

Join Seattle Cruise Control and South Seattle Climate Action Network for a public meeting Thursday April 6th from 6-7pm, to learn more about the damage caused by mega cruise ships, what can be done to address these harms, and how to take action locally.

Presentation will be followed by Q&A and will be recorded for later viewing. Register here!

The first mega cruise ship of the 2023 season comes to Seattle on Saturday April 15th. Join Extinction Rebellion Seattle and Seattle Cruise Control for a march and die-in to protect people and the planet from mega cruise ships. Meet at Westlake Park at 10:30am. We will march about 1 mile through Pike Place Market, down to the Pier 66 cruise terminal, where there will be speakers and a brief die-in. Art provided. Done by 1pm.
