Did you know that September 21 is the International Day of Peace and September 26 is the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons? Anti-nuclear weapons group, Ground Zero will have four billboards posted in Seattle during September focusing on September 26 and the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons. Did you see the one at MLK and Jackson?

One simple way to help put the issue of nuclear abolition in front of the public is to have “banneristas” in several locations, so Ground Zero is planning to banner on overpasses or busy streets in Tacoma, Kitsap County, Seattle, etc., at approximately the same time on Fridays during September

For South Seattle, you can join Beth, Mona, Dick and others at the Rainier /MLK overpass by Franklin High School to hold signs and banners, starting Friday, Sept. 17th at 4:00-5:00 pm and then Sept. 17th and 24th, same time. For more info, contact Beth at seattleantiwar@gmail.com
