Mt. Baker Meaningful Movies will partner with the High School Meaningful Movies group and Hanford Challenge in presenting an online screening of the film “Into Eternity.” on May 18, 2023, at 6:30 pm PST. 
“Into Eternity” is directed by Michael Madsen follows the construction of the Onkalo waste repository at the Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant in Olkiluoto, Finland. Addressing an audience in the remote future, the film questions the intended eternal existence of the nuclear waste site, one that must remain untouched for 100,000 years. “Into Eternity” addresses the challenges of nuclear waste disposal from the technical uncertainties to multi-generational impacts.
After the film screening, we will be having a discussion with our guest speaker.
